Most stock carts can fit a tire with a 12” diameter wheel and an overall diameter of 18.5”.
The majority of electric carts have top speeds set at the factory, but we can adjust this setting and increase the speed slightly. The maximum speed your cart will be able to reach depends on a variety of factors specific to your unique cart. However, if what we can get from your stock model is not enough, there are other options to increase speeds, including a new, higher horsepower motor, higher amperage controller, and larger battery cables, all of which we have available here at RSC!
The EZ-GO RXV is a very good cart, but it is fully computer controlled, which makes it difficult to diagnose without the proper tools. If any of the sensors or switches (or even the backup alarm) are not working, then the computer will not let you drive the cart.
In most cases, it is best to just bring your cart in so that we can use our diagnostic tools to pinpoint the issue.
Ideally, you’d want to ensure your gas tank is empty before winter storage. However for most people, we know that it is unrealistic to remove all of the fuel from the tank and fuel system. So instead we recommend that you add fuel stabilizer, which you can find at your local automotive store. We also recommend that you use a battery maintainer on the starting battery to prevent discharging and freezing.
If you are parking your cart for just 1-2 weeks, it is best to make sure it is fully charged and, if equipped with a run/tow switch, put it in tow/storage mode (though be sure to read your Owner’s Manual, as this is not the case with all carts – specifically the EZ-GO RXV, which must be left in run mode to prevent battery discharge).
If you are leaving your cart for an extended period of time, we also recommend that you check the battery water levels and install a battery maintainer designed to work with the correct voltage.
